What We Are Doing:
We have robots! Actual
robots that move! They're in a couple pieces now, but soon we will be competing
in a competition at Quest Field Event Center on March 18th and 19th. If you
would like to come support us, there is more information at http://www.firstwa.org/ under "FRC"
and "Seattle Regional 2011." more about the competition
below
Recent Accomplishments: (from newest to oldest)
FIRST COMPETITION
In March, we will be competing in a First Robotics competition. Each year First puts on competitions all over the country, and each year a different game is played with the robots. Using the robot we have built in the course of 6 weeks, we will compete with other teams from all over the state and the next weekend we will compete in an Oregon competition in Portland. This year the game requires the robots to grab/lift inner tubes, transport them across the playing field and place them on pegs of various heights. At the end of the game, there is an opportunity to score extra points by deploying a "mini-bot" onto a 10' pole and racing other mini-bots to the top. If you want to learn more, go to the First website: http://www.usfirst.org/default.aspx
